A wire rope clip, also known simply as a cable clamp or u-bolt clamp, is a device used to fasten the loose end of a wire rope after it has been looped back to form an eye. It consists of a metal u-bolt or saddle piece that fits around the rope, a metal base or saddle, and two nuts. The nuts are tightened onto the u-bolt threads to secure the wire rope in place.
